For beginners

Start on demo. Go live when you trust it.

Practice on your broker’s own demo account, let a bot trade your signals with the size and stops you choose, and read what it did before any real money is involved.

No card needed. Free includes 30 trades a month (demo trades count), 2 running bots and 1 broker account.

Illustrative: Lena is a fictional trader.

Practice on your broker’s own demo

Connect your broker’s demo, testnet or paper account and your bot trades virtual funds at the broker itself. TraderFrame has no simulator of its own.

  • The app opens in Demo view, so a bot you build without switching is a demo bot.
  • Demo trades count toward Free’s 30 a month, like any trade.
  • Each bot keeps the mode it was made in, and on a wide screen the top bar inside it reads Demo bot or Live bot.

Set your rules before you press Activate

You set its size, exits and caps before it runs. Activate stays grayed out until it has a signal source, a broker and a position size, and the builder lists anything still missing.

  • No strategy of your own yet? A bot can trade a Telegram channel you already follow, signed in with your own Telegram account. It also takes TradingView alerts, MetaTrader, or a Discord channel in a server you manage.
  • A stop loss is never added for you. On crypto and MetaTrader 5, choose Auto close and set both, or let positions close when the signal says so.
  • Profit and loss caps (the builder calls them Daily limits) pause the bot at its next signal once its closed result since you first switched it on has reached either one. They don’t reset each day, and switching the bot back on doesn’t reset them.
  • The news filter pauses the bot around scheduled events and resumes it afterwards. A schedule refuses signals outside your hours.
3Watch it work · 3 of 5

Watch what it does, and why

The Signals tab lists the signals your bot checked while it was switched on: traded, blocked by a filter, or failed, each with the reason. Signals that arrive while it is paused, including a news pause, aren’t listed, and neither are signals refused once the month’s trades are used up.

  • The Trades tab lists what the bot opened and how each trade closed.
  • Free’s Dashboard shows your profit and loss curve, open positions and recent trading days.
  • By default, a risk-alert email arrives when a running bot falls 20% or more below its peak or loses five trades in a row. It advises; it changes nothing.
  • The Journal and full analytics come with Basic.

Illustrative: Lena’s bot uses 10x leverage, so its 20 USDT margin sizes each trade at 200 USDT.

4Learn from others · 4 of 5

Learn from traders whose record you can check

The leaderboard ranks traders on the TDF score: habit, results and risk control together, not who made the most money.

  • Profiles show a broker-reported record with demo and live kept apart, and the board opens on Demo. Following someone is free.
  • On Basic, ask to copy a bot. If its author approves (approving needs Standard), it runs on your own account at the same broker, and you change its settings before you press Activate. There are no copy fees.
  • On any plan, tick your pre-market review before your first trade of the day, or post in Community, and earn TDF points for the habit.

5Go live · 5 of 5

Go live when you trust what you see

Switching the view to Live changes what you see, not what runs. When you’re ready, connect your real account and build the bot again in Live view.

  • A bot keeps the mode it was made in. Your live bot is a new bot, built in Live view with the rules you tested.
  • Free holds one broker account in total, demo included: close its positions and remove the demo account first (its bots go back to draft and its trade history is kept), or move to Basic for two.
  • Open a live bot and the app’s frame turns green; on a wide screen its top bar reads Live bot. A demo bot stays as it is.
  1. Still on Free, Lena removed the demo account and connected a live Bybit account. In Demo view, Lena taps Live.
  2. A sheet shows what Live view holds.
  3. After Show Live, the app’s frame turns green.

Questions

Before your first bot

Can a complete beginner use TraderFrame?

Yes. Start free on a demo account, automate a signal with your own size and stops, and learn from the leaderboard and Community. Copying a trader’s bot and the Journal start on Basic.

Do I need a card to start?

No. The Free plan needs no card. A 7-day trial of a paid plan takes a card up front; cancel within the seven days and nothing is charged.

How do I practice without real money?

Connect your broker’s demo, testnet or paper account. Every venue we support except KuCoin has one, and the app opens in Demo view. It is the broker’s own practice account; TraderFrame has no simulator of its own. Demo trades count toward Free’s 30 a month.

Which brokers can I practice with?

Bybit, OKX and Bitget demo accounts, Binance’s demo (testnet keys), Hyperliquid’s testnet, Deriv’s demo, any MetaTrader 5 broker’s demo account, and Interactive Brokers Paper through the TraderFrame Bridge.

Does TraderFrame set a stop loss for me?

No. On crypto and MetaTrader 5 you choose how positions close: Auto close at a take profit and stop loss you set, or close when your signal says so. IBKR futures bots need a stop or a target you set, and Deriv contracts settle at expiry. Profit and loss caps can also pause the bot.

Can I copy another trader’s bot?

On Basic and up you can ask to copy a trader’s bot. If its author approves (approving needs Standard), add Copy Trader to a bot on your own account at the same broker (a demo account is fine), check its settings, then activate. There are no copy fees.

What does the Demo/Live switch do?

It changes what you see, not what runs. Nothing is bought or sold by switching, each bot keeps the mode it was created in, and the app turns green while Live is on.

What can I review on Free?

Your profit and loss curve, open positions and recent trading days on the Dashboard, plus each bot’s Signals and Trades tabs. The Journal and full analytics start on Basic.
