Copy trading
Their bot picks the entries. Yours trades them on your own account at the same broker, at your size and under your own exit rule, once they approve and you switch your copy on.
Copying is on Basic and up; being copied is on Standard and up. No copy fees.
How it works
From the Leaderboard’s Bots tab, a Community post or a trader’s profile. Ranked bot cards put max drawdown, profit factor and worst streak right under the result.
The request repeats the bot’s ladder (its martingale or compounding steps) and deepest drawdown wherever the card you came from shows them, and says your result won’t match theirs. Never a projected return.
They see your TDF score, rank and country before they decide, and confirm before you’re approved. Nothing reaches your account until they do.
Add Copy Trader to a bot of your own at the same broker. It takes their market and nothing else, and won’t switch on without a size of its own.
What crosses
Only two things travel from their bot to yours. The rest is set on your bot, by you, and stays that way. Your bot’s Signals tab shows what it did with each signal it was sent.
The pair, futures product or options underlying their bot trades, copied when you connect.
Opens a trade on your bot only while their bot is switched on, inside its trading days and hours and outside its news pause. If a Trade Agent judges their signals, you get only the entries it places.
Never crosses: their size and leverage, their stop and target, their ladder steps (martingale or compounding) or their closes.
Their closes don’t cross: a close by hand, or their stop or target being hit, is never sent. Your bot closes each copied trade by its own exit rule. A signal their bot turns away never opens a trade on yours; an opposite signal closes your open trade only if your exit rule closes on an opposite signal (MT5 or crypto on Follow the signal, or options), and otherwise your bot refuses it.
Their size and stop are never used in place of yours. A copy with no size of its own, or one whose settings took their stop from each signal (MT5 on Limit, futures, options), can’t be switched on until you set one.
Reading a bot
Bot cards put the deepest drawdown, profit factor and worst losing streak next to the result. The request repeats the risk. Nothing on either one projects what you might make.
Your copy takes their entries but trades your size, your exit rule and your ladder, from the day you start. A bot can be ahead while the people copying it are not.
You’re sent only the recovery leg: one signal when their ladder crosses into it, then your bot runs its own ladder, if it has one, at your size. Expect far fewer trades than the author.
Every bot card carries a Demo or Live tag, and the request flags a record that comes from a demo account.
Your copy is a bot of your own: it uses one of your plan’s active bots, and every trade it places counts toward your trades this month.
For authors
Being copied is on Standard and up, and that’s the only cost: there’s no copy fee or profit share in either direction.
Each request shows the person’s TDF score, rank, country and whether they already copy anyone.
Their median return and the spread, not just how many there are.
Remove someone from one bot, or block them from all of yours.
People you already approved keep copying until you remove them.
Stopping
Stop copying pauses your copy at once and places no new trades. Stopping doesn’t close trades already open.
You’re told in the app, and by email if trader updates are on, when the author pauses or resumes the bot you copy, or changes its trading settings, goals or ladder. While it’s paused, nothing new opens on yours.
Questions
No. There are no copy fees, but copying a bot is on Basic and up, and letting others copy yours is on Standard and up. A 7-day trial of Basic or above includes copying; it needs a card and is one per account.
No. You copy the original bot, never a copy of it, and never one of your own.
Nothing is sent. A close by hand, or their stop or target being hit, never reaches your bot: your exit rule decides every copied trade’s exit. If their next signal is the opposite side while your copy holds a trade, your bot closes it only if its exit rule closes on an opposite signal; otherwise it refuses the signal.
It won’t switch on. The Copy Trader panel says what to set, for example “Set a lot size on this bot before it copies trades.” The same goes for a stop where your settings took it from each signal: MT5 on Limit, futures and options. If something goes missing while it runs, each entry that would open a trade is skipped, with the reason in that bot’s Signals tab. Their size and stop are never used in place of yours.
No. Your copy runs on your own account at the same broker as the bot you copy. A MetaTrader 5 bot can be copied from any MetaTrader 5 broker that lists the same symbol.
Yes. Each copy is a bot of your own: it uses one of your plan’s active bots, and each trade it places counts toward your trades this month.
You’re notified. While their bot is paused, nothing new opens on your copy. Their opposite signal still reaches it, close-only, so it can close a trade your copy holds if your exit rule closes on an opposite signal (MT5 or crypto on Follow the signal, or options). If their bot is deleted, your copy is left paused.
Your name and photo, TDF score, rank, country and how many bots you already copy when you ask, and later your return on their bot.
